Norman has made a career out of performing and recording science fiction and horror movie music. This cut (by Richard Band) is from the 1985 gore-fest of the same name, loosely based on an H.P. Lovecraft story. Leonard Maltin gives the film three stars but singles out Band’s score as the weakest part of the film, describing it as too reminiscent of Bernard Herrmann’s work for Psycho (1960) |
